2005 Oberon Merlot, Napa Valley

Story

Oberon wines begin in the great vineyards of Napa Valley. Winemakers, Tony Coltrin and Rob Mondavi, nurture exceptional fruit from the classic Oakville, Rutherford and Stags Leap appellations, and from Napa’s emerging sub-appellations. So, even if you cannot be in Napa Valley, with Oberon you can experience Napa Valley in every bottle.

Tasting Notes

The varietal blend added interesting nuances to the lush berry flavor profile of the 2005 Merlot. With the diversity of flavors, we were able to create a well-rounded wine that can be enjoyed upon release and for years to come. This vintage is ripe with blueberries and chocolate. The aging in French oak barrels adds nuances of vanilla and toffee.
